Podiatry work recognised by royal college

One of our podiatrists at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) has had his work in end of life care recognised nationally.

Mark Povey won the poster competition at the Royal College of Podiatry annual conference which took place in Liverpool at the beginning of July. He presented his poster in person and it is also available on the royal college website

Mark, a clinical specialist podiatrist for the vulnerable foot, entered a collection of his work, which the college calls a learning toolkit. It followed the completion of his quality improvement (QI) project at KCHFT, which looked at end of life care wound debridement podiatry best practice. His aim was to increase the confidence of podiatrists, when caring for people at the end of their lives.
