National healthcare awards open for entries and nominations

Colleagues at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) are encouraged to enter or nominate in two national health awards which are currently open.

They are the Advancing Healthcare Awards 2022 and the Leading Healthcare Awards 2022.

The Advancing Healthcare Awards recognise and celebrate the work of allied health professionals, healthcare scientists and those who work alongside them in support roles, leading innovative healthcare practice across the UK. The awards are run by NHS Employers, who wants to celebrate the positive contribution that support roles make to patient outcomes and the teams they work in.

This year NHS Employers will be sponsoring an award for outstanding achievement by an apprentice, support worker or non-registered technician in an allied health professional or healthcare service. This award is open to apprentices, support workers, assistants or non-registered technicians working with allied health professionals and/or in healthcare science services.

If you have made a difference to the quality of life of your patients, implemented impactful change for your team or been innovative in impacting patient care, you can nominate yourself or someone this describes. Nominations are welcomed by the individual, their team or by a patient, service user or carer. Read the full award criteria.

The closing date for nominations is 11 January 2022. Find out more.

The Leading Healthcare Awards 2022 celebrates and recognises great teams, partnerships, innovations and programmes across health and care.

The awards also provide a platform to share ideas, learn from others and hear about various innovative programmes to shape the future of health and care services.
