Homeless project wins poster competition

Project on page winner Rough Sleeper project

A project to help the homeless was chosen as the winner of our poster competition – run at our recent quality improvement conference.

The project on a page poster was put together by Claire Knight, a complex care nurse and Stephanie Rhodes, head of long term services in west Kent.

The poster explained their six week pilot to provide physical health support to rough sleepers in Maidstone, by providing nurse-led drop in clinics in the town centre.

The poster included the project’s recommendations for change, what they learned and their next steps.

Runner-up in the project on a page poster competition was a tissue viability project which has resulted in a reduced patient assessment time from 40 minutes to just two minutes.

In third place was a Hospital@Home poster.

Those attending the conference voted for their favourite poster.

Certificates were presented at the conference by our chairman John Goulston.
