This quality improvement (QI) project aimed to increase the number of colleagues whose moving and handling training was up to date, from 80 per cent to 90 per cent.
The project team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust did not achieve its aim within the six month target it had set, but has made changes which it hopes will result in gradual improvement. The team hopes that email alerts to colleagues who are out of date with their training will help, along with providing training sessions at community hospitals.
