HSJ Awards success

The school health booklet by Helen Sharman

A project to design and distribute a health and wellbeing booklet to 10,000 children was named a runner-up in the prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards.

The Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) project was a contender in the Early Intervention and Prevention for Children, Young People and Families category. Winners were announced at an awards ceremony held at the end of November.

The initiative, led by Kent School Health District Manager Helen Sharman, focused on the issues that matter most to children. The booklet includes practical guidance on brushing teeth, managing feelings like sadness or anger, and knowing how to ask for help.
