A quality improvement (QI) coffee catch up for allied health professionals (AHPs) in the South East takes place at the end June, organised by one of our quality leads here at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT).
Martyne May has worked with other AHPs to set up the South East Allied Health Professionals Quality Improvement Network and this will be the group’s first event, on Tuesday, 28 June, from 3pm to 4.30pm, on MS Teams.
Martyne is a Lead for Quality, Governance and Professional Standards at KCHFT, within the Adult Speech and Language Therapy and Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Service.
The Q Community, a national organisation which promotes QI, set up an AHP QI special interest group before the pandemic, with members selected as network champions and asked to set up regional networks. Martyne was chosen to be a connector for the South East.
The aim of the networks is to help AHPs with an interest in QI to connect, promote AHP improvement work, share good practice, learn and develop knowledge and skills and to provide peer support.
