Delivering training with our mental health colleagues

KMPT at KCHFT Fundamentals

Next year Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) will be working closely with a mental health provider to deliver joint quality improvement (QI) training.

KCHFT has forged a partnership with Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), whereby the two trusts will co-deliver QI training from February 2020.

Two members of staff from KMPT recently attended KCHFT’s one-day Fundamentals course, held at Ditton Community Centre in December.  They were Martine McCahon, acting assistant director Transformation and Improvement and project support assistant Grace O’Driscoll. KMPT colleagues have also attended other KCHFT Fundamentals courses and KCHFT’s five-day Quality, Service Improvement and Redesign (QSIR) practitioner courses.

Martine said: “Working closer together will help us in meeting the mental and physical needs of those who use our services. We support the same patients and this will help us build relationships and understanding.”
